I'm David Healey, a sample library developer with over 15 years of experience and a portfolio that includes hundreds of virtual instrument projects. Since I first started on this journey, I’ve been sharing what I’ve learned through video masterclasses and YouTube tutorials, helping others build their own virtual instruments.
I began my development work with Kontakt, and for the past eight years, I’ve primarily worked with HISE. I'm an active user and contributor to the HISE ecosystem, having made various improvements to the codebase to help extend its functionality.
Over the years, I’ve collaborated with many other sample library developers—offering scripting, interface design, and consulting services for a wide range of projects built in both Kontakt and HISE. These experiences, combined with my passion for teaching, led me to launch Audio Dev School to help people master the technical and creative skills needed to develop professional audio software.
